MAGA voters were not tricked or scammed. To say they were robs fully grown adults of their agency and responsibility. They knew he was a liar, a convicted felon, a person who bragged about assaulting women. They knew he spread hate and supported overthrowing the govt when he lost.

He is who they knew he was, just like the white Confederate cannon fodder who were poor before and after the war, while many rich slave owners scarcely missed a beat of privilege. One even ended up on SCOTUS.
