Great piece. Hilarious. Especially the middle school references. I taught beginning band for exactly ONE semester and said “I’m outta here!” (which isn’t to say I haven’t heard nonsense from my college students; I just didn’t have to hear it at the crack of dawn).

I saw the Stones for the first time about 8 yrs ago (Brad Paisley, opening act; it was Nashville, after all😒). They were quite good but the biggest fascination was how they paced the show so Mick could take breaks, bringing big energy, but in smaller spurts. Very clever.
